TINNE VROONEN

TVroonen_portrait_photoPatriceNiset

Tinne Vroonen graduated in glass art at IKA Mechelen and attended the Bild-Werk Frauenau Academy for several years to learn glass engraving, in particular copperwheel engraving.

She participates regularly in exhibitions and has work in the collection of Glasmuseum Lette and the European Museum of Modern Glass Rödental, Coburg.

Tinne combines engraved glass with handmade paper, creating sculptures with embedded stories. Her creative research examines how the overarching themes of history, culture, family, religion, happiness play out in our lives, what influence society has on the world, how changes in the world or climate changes define our society.

Of particular interest in her work is her exploration of the reality, complexity and identity of the woman herein. What does it mean to be a woman? It is especially this theme that strives to develop a dialogue with her work.
